NationsHeart is a community of people of all ages, backgrounds and experiences who are seeking to follow the teachings and examples of Jesus, therefore we want to respond together to needs in our local community, nation & beyond.  There are many ways we make this connection, and we invite you to be a part of it!  Read below some information on one of our community connections;

"This is the kind of fast day I'm after: to break the chains of injustice, get rid of exploitation in the workplace, free the oppressed, cancel debts. What I'm interested in seeing you do is: sharing your food with the hungry, inviting the homeless poor into your homes, putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad, being available to your own families. Do this and the lights will turn on, and your lives will turn around at once. Your righteousness will pave your way. The GOD of glory will secure your passage. Isaiah 58:6-8.

During 2008 we have registered nearly 400 families to the FoodHut Community through the ministry at NationsHeart. Of these, nearly 150 families use the FoodHut regularly. Lately, given the global and local economic downturn, we have given away a larger than usual amount of food supplies to needy families who’ve asked for help. It’s exciting to be a part of this ministry. And, as we did last year, during this Christmas Season we are asking you to take on a bigger part. Let me explain. At our Christmas Gift celebrations December 14, we are planning to give away 100+ hampers to families of our FoodHut community. This will not only bring lots of families together on this special occasion but it will supply families with a needed resource. These hampers will contain about $75 worth of food products including some Christmas goodies. We need your help. We are asking our NationsHeart Community to sponsor these hampers at $20 a piece. Would you be willing to fulfil Isaiah 58 by “sharing your food with the hungry” by not only attending Christmas Gift but by underwriting a number of food hampers for our FoodHut Community.
