Rough Diamonds

Rough Diamonds is a social group open to all for times of connection, learning, fun, food and conversation.

Aimed at seniors and people with special needs, Rough Diamonds meets on alternate Wednesdays from 10am - 2pm.

Up to 80 people gather to share the good times - enjoying a program of endless variety. The meeting includes a hearty lunch with options for those with special dietary needs.

Rough Diamonds meets at the church - but also enjoys regular excursions to take in the sights and attractions of the local area. Our regular meetings are $5 to cover food costs, while excursions are $10.

Functioning for 9 years, Rough Diamonds serves the community by bringing together many disability agencies who accompany their clients to the program. Rough Diamonds has been recognised by many as a very important ministry in the Canberra community and has been awarded three financial government grants.

Rough Diamonds is run by a team of volunteers - led by Jeanette and Barbara. To find out more about the upcoming events of Rough Diamonds, click here to download the calendar, or call the church on (02) 6253 1672.
